Sep 28 @ 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

PLEASE SHARE!

Come ROCK with us with DJ dorsE!

At this event, you will be able to register to vote or update your voter registration information. You will also meet candidates who will address pertinent questions concerning their candidacy.

If you are a registered voter that was recently displaced due to the Memorial Day tornadoes you have two options to ensure your vote counts this year:

1 – Vote under the address you occupied before the tornadoes hit on May 27th if you plan to keep your residency as you rebuild.

2 – Update your voter registration with your new address if you are unable to return to your previous address, using the following link: https://www.mcohio.org/government/county_agencies/board_of_elections/voter_registration.php

Additional inquiries on voter registration can be followed up by calling the Montgomery County Board of Elections at (937) 225-5656.

Please review the current candidate list and familiarize yourself with individuals running for office in your municipality. Most candidates have until August 7th to file and get their petitions certified, which puts them on the ballot for November 5, 2019. You can review the list – which is updated periodically – by clicking the “Montgomery County Candidate Report” link on the following page: https://www.mcohio.org/government/county_agencies/board_of_elections/upcoming_elections/upcoming_candidates.php

If you have additional questions or concerns, feel free to contact our organization at (937) 369-0441.

6th Annual Amigos Latinx Gala
Oct 12 @ 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Join us for our annual Amigos Latinx Gala on Saturday, October 12, 2019 in the Apollo Room, Student Union, at the campus of Wright State University and enjoy a night of festive music by The Dayton Salsa Project and DJ Stacy Worley, dancing, and an array of Latinx dishes all while supporting the success of Latinx students at Wright State.

The Amigos Latinx Gala is sponsored in part by the Office of Latinx, Asian, and Native American Affairs (LANA), the Wright State Alumni Association through the Amigos Latinos de Wright State Alumni Society, and other community sponsors and stakeholders.

Over the past decade, LANA has been a model for the Midwest to raise the level of educational attainment in the Latinx Community.

LANA strives to enhance the success of Latinx students, the Latinx community, and economic development in the Dayton region. We pride ourselves on playing a critical role in recruiting, educating, retaining, graduating Latino students at Wright State University. Throughout their experience at Wright State and beyond graduation, LANA also connects and empowers Latinx students to get involved in their community and give back to those who have supported them.

In the past year, Wright State University has increased the Latinx student population by 30% with over 500 Latinx students attending Wright State University.

The Amigos Latinx Gala is the signature fundraiser that helps support the mission and work of the Office of Latinx, Asian, and Native American Affairs at Wright State University. By choosing to support the Amigos Latinx Gala, you are ultimately giving back to the broader latinx community in Dayton through the work of LANA.

We hope that you will join us and make an impact on the lives of our Latinx Students at Wright State University.
